Welcome to the Future: Shebara in Red Sea, Saudi Arabia!

Welcome to the Future: Shebara in Red Sea, Saudi Arabia!

I got excited when I saw an invite from this beautiful spot: Shebara Resort in the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia! A Maldives-like experience but right around the corner? Yes please!

The world is on the brink of a new era of luxury and sustainability, and nowhere is this more evident than in Shebara, one of the most anticipated projects in the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. As part of the groundbreaking Red Sea Global (RSG) initiative, Shebara is redefining what it means to experience opulence, tranquility, and eco-conscious hospitality in one of the most breathtaking marine environments on the planet as I read everywhere.

My visit was in winter, February 2025 which wasnt perhaps the best weather for those looking to enjoy the sea as it was windy and a bit chili.  Ive tried to dip in the water as its sunny in the morning, but i’m a warm water kind of girl so it didnt work for me.

Dreaming about your stay? Shebara has 73 keys, including overwater and inland beach villas. They offer family pool, adults pool, restaurants, 2 padel courts, kids club, tennis court and I look forward to see what else will be introduced in the future!

How to Get There?

For my personal trip; I found a direct flight from Dubai to Red Sea project which was a 3 hour 50 mins journey. The price of the economy ticket of this flight was truly expensive which I did not prefer but for time purposes I opted for this option. However, on my return, I found flights via Riyadh which were alot more affordable in the overall sense so I booked back via Riyadh.

From Jeddah as well, there are flights from my research but I haven’t checked/seen those.

Upon arrival, you’ll get transferred by car from the airport to a hotel called Turtle Bay, where the speed boat is waiting to take you to the resort. I’ve spotted a few visitors landing by Helicopter and saw the Helipad, but not quite sure how to book it or if its a public option. The speedboat was very convenient.

Activities & Food:

The restaurants include Nikkei cuisine at iki.roe, Mediterranean bites at Ariamare, chic brasserie Lunara and Saria, a family pool bar and grill.

There is also an adults-only pool bar called Solera complete with “lily pad” seating terraces with panoramic views of the area.

Diving is highly recommended in the Red Sea! There is a dramatic 30 to 40 metre reef drop-off near the beach, allowing you to explore ocean life. They have two padel courts on board as well, tennis court and a kids club for families.

The place was an absolute piece of art. I loved the details and the design. Very nicely done and would love to visit again in the future.

I’ve stayed in a One-Bedroom Overwater Villa: Spanning 188 square meters, these villas feature a king-size bed, accommodating up to two adults and one child. Each villa boasts a lounge, dining table, bar unit, and pantry, providing a comfortable space for relaxation and dining.

The bedrooms are equipped with spacious wardrobes, dressing tables, and en-suite bathrooms featuring double vanities, bathtubs, and showers.

The villa also had a private infinity pool, terrace, double daybed, sunken lounge, and an outdoor shower, all offering panoramic views of the Red Sea.

The interiors, conceptualized by Studio Paolo Ferrari, embody a “naturalistic futurism” aesthetic, combining luxurious materials such as cast glass, travertine, oak, and leather to evoke the ambiance of an ultra-luxury superyacht.
