Finally I get to visit Cote d’Azur! It’s just one of those destinations where you need to see at least once in your life to experience its luxury and the french riviera feel! 

 

Information about my trip in short:

• Landed in Nice Airport from via Paris (CDG)!
• Drove to Cap Ferrat (40 minutes), for my first two nights, transportation was provided by the hotel
• During my visit, I stayed in 3 different areas in Cote D’Azur: (Cap Ferrat, Cap d’Atibes and Nice), we had lunches and dinners in Eze Village, Saint Jean Cap Ferrat Village, Nice and Cannes.
• Areas I did not visit but was recommended to see: Saint Tropez and Sainte Croix du Verdon.
• I would very much visit it again to explore more. Beautiful region, fancy, and classy!

 

Saint Jean Cap Ferrat,

Four Seasons Saint Jean Cap Ferrat 

Was welcomed by the always amazing Four Seasons (Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat) to stay at their property at Cap Ferrat for the first two nights..

This luxury palace hotel is set in a grand 1908 building overlooks the sea, it offers a 33 m sea-water heated pool and panoramic sea views. It’s 2.8 km from Paloma Beach and 17.4 km from Aéroport Nice Côte d’Azur. The Hotel features 74 guest rooms, including 24 suites, a private villa, an award-winning Spa, fine and casual dining, as well as one of the most beautiful pools in the world.

As I told you guys, I’ve arrived via Nice Airport and the hotel offered a transfer from the Airport to the hotel.

 

When we were in the hotel, we experienced dinner in La Veranda which is all-day restaurant at the Four Seasons. There was a live performance while we were eating, she was very talented and it was an amazing night!!

A little about Cap Ferrat: It is considered for those looking to experience the old-style Riviera glamour. The charm of this forested peninsula between Nice and Monaco has always attracted the rich and famous, who were drawn by the light, the peace, the views of sea and craggy Provençal coastline, and the cobalt waters all around.

From here, you could go to and explore:

• Villa & Garden Ephrussi of Rothschild (10 am to 6 pm)
• Eze Village (cliffs, beauty, silence and magic)
• Villefranche-sur-mer
• Cap Ferrat Village

 

Antibes,

Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel

Cap d’Antibes area is part of the West Coast, where many small coves with turquoise waters are. Other areas in the west coast are Saint Laurent du Var and Cannes sur Mer.

In cannes:

• New York New York (trendy, outdoors is amazing, try to book if possible)
• Baoli Restaurant In Cannes (French restaurant)
• LA MÔME PLAGE Restaurant (beach restaurant)

 

Nice,

Lamalmaison Boutique Hotel

Stayed at a quick overnight in this cute boutique hotel, which i very much liked its location close to the old town, the beaches and the famous Promenade des Anglais. What stood out on spot, is the welcoming smiles at the reception and their willingness to assist and help.

This boutique hotel, inspired by the 1920s, is located on the luxurious boulevard Victor Hugo. The hotel will seduce you with its warm atmosphere and its “very chic” Art Deco style.

In Nice:

• Sightseeing: Promenade des Anglais, Old City, MAMAC (muséum of modern art),Avenue Jean Médecin, Cours Saleya, Nice Opera House, Prefecture Palace, Adam & Eve House, Castle Hill.
• I experienced and recommend Le Plongeoir for dinner! (Cuisine Méditerranéenne Nice – nice for dinner trendy beach cliff)
• I experienced and highly recommend d’Acchiardo Restaurant for lunch! Owned by an italian origins family, where all members of family still work at the restaurant! Amazing people with great service.
• Other activities: Bike around the city, Segway around the city, take a photography tour, Nice Boat Tour, Olive oil course
• Checkout Nice Flower & Veggies Market where you get things like Crepe Chickpeas,

Neighborhoods in Nice:

• Chambrun Park – located in residential area of Saint-Maurice in the northern part of Nice.
• Valrose Park – former aristocratic estate, still boasts a splendid Chateau.
• Eco Vallée Park – at the heart of the Var Plain near the Allianz Riviera stadium.
• Vigier park – near the port
• Nice cap – view on the sea and cap ferrat cape. From here you could take a trail for a short walk or take the steps built in the hillside to climb the mont boron district.
• Botanical Garden – offers remarkable view on the mouth of the Var Tiver and vast panorama from the Alps to the Esterel Massif.

• To reach Monaco from Nice, a common method to transfer is Helicopter. (Around 200 Euros round trip for a 7 minute ride.) They say its frequent, every 30 minutes! I haven’t tried it, thats’ what I read and heard. – www.monacair.mc  & heliairmonaco.com
•  A less expensive way to reach Monaco is by bus. There are two lines: Line No 100 & Xpress Bus 100.
• By boat from Nice to Monaco is also an option: www.ports-monaco.com
