Hello Antigua!!

My trip to Antigua was back in 2018.

It is pronounced: Antigua, An-TEE’ ga! It is also known as “Waladii or Wadadii” by the native population. I call Antigua the perfect tropical getaway!

Visa needed: YES! You must apply online for the visa, it costs 100 USD: https://evisa.immigration.gov.ag/agEvisa-app/

Currency: Caribbean Dollars

We flew from St Lucia (through Barbados) to Antigua! There weren’t direct flights surprisingly.. We booked on LIAT which is a low cost carrier I believe. It wasn’t bad but I hear a lot about their cancelled flights so just be careful and see what suits you best.

Finally.. ANTIGUA SAFETY & SECURITY

Antigua is still a relatively safe country to visit but we would recommend that you should continue to act as you would when visiting anywhere else in the world that you are not familiar with. Watch your belongings, avoid isolated areas including beaches after dark, don’t not walk alone at night, do not carry large amounts of cash or jewellery.
