Weekending in Tbilisi, Georgia თბილისი
This trip came out of nowhere (The best decisions come out of nowhere).
Everything happened so fast..
I decided to book as my friend did with Qatar Airways. Not the best route from Kuwait, but good enough.
Kuwait, Doha, Tbilisi (Around a 12 hours trip in total with transits)
There are direct flights through Georgian Airways from Kuwait to Tbilisi. There are also direct flights from Dubai to Tbilisi through Fly Dubai.
Where to stay? I stayed at a hotel called Orion Old Town through booking.com (3 star hotel)
My stay at Tbilisi was fast, my goal was to find a decent 3 star hotel where I could sleep well. This hotel was a great choice. I honestly haven’t looked into any other hotels, but I would also recommend you to look at booking.com for options.
Some recommended hotels:
- Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, Tbilisi
- Tbilisi Marriott Hotel

Tbilisi is really cute! Due to my limited time, I’ve had only a day and a half to explore the town.
Amongst the things I’ve seen:
- Walk around Old Town (Altstadt) Tbilisi
- The Bridge of Peace
- Flea Market Dry Bridge
-
Kartlis Deda (Statue)
- Aerial Tramway in Tbilisi

I’ve seen Tbilisi in one day. The other two days were spent around Tbilisi as we explored Kazbegi the mountain in one day and the areas around the route to it such as Gudauri and Dushet’ls Raioni.
The other day was spent exploring Georgia’s Uplistsikhe Cave Town.
