My First time on Sri Lanka Airlines!

To start off, thank you Sri Lanka Airlines for this collaboration. Super happy to have finally tried your airlines and of course being part of One World Alliance is always a plus for me due to my miles program benefits – I love getting the priority, seating and lounge access with one world alliance partners!

It is very impressive to have learned that Sri Lanka Airlines is the largest international operator in to India and the Maldives. I liked the fact that flying SriLankan doesn’t disturb your internal clock as you get on the flight from Kuwait at 10:20 PM and arrive in Colombo at 06:15 in the morning. Night flights are my favorite.

What came to my attention for the Sri Lanka airlines is that there are Daily flights to Colombo on Airbus 330-300 & 200, both having flat beds in business class!

The airlines has amazing connections to popular leisure destinations such as Maldives / Singapore / Kaula Lumpur / Bangkok / Jakarta, China, Narita & even Melbourne via Colombo.

For those particular about the Halal food, it was also brought to my attention that all food served onboard is Halal! While on board, I loved in particular the tea selection. Fell in love with the Ginger spice tea I actually ordered it in both going and coming back from Colombo haha!

I flew on both flight types, both very comfortable! Great seats, and great service! The staff were so friendly, so attentive and very caring! They definitely left a good impression for a first time flyer on their airlines.

SriLankan have their own miles which you can enroll to and use. Flysmiles is the frequent flier program of SriLankan, you enroll and accrue miles on both SriLankan and Oneworld program.

Also always remember, if you do not travel frequently enough on SriLankan Airlines you can always use your oneworld partner memberships i.e. American Airlines Advantage or Qatar privilege club or British Airways Executive Club on SriLankan flights and accrue miles on the respective partner memberships itself and oneworld while flying on SriLankan Airlines

Cinnamon Air

I never knew that there were internal flights in Sri Lanka; when we came to Colombo on the 12^th November we were transported by road to our resort which took 3 – 4 hours when we came from Yala we took Cinnamon Air and a journey which would have taken 5 – 6 hours to the airport just took 40 minutes.

That is one great thing, and the other MAJOR thing was the scenery! I was super happy to be on this flight what an experience!!!

I recommend the airline if its an option for you, there are scheduled flights and chartered flights, inquire before you make a decision whether you’re going on road, scheduled if available or chartered.
