Siem Reap, a resort town in northwestern Cambodia, is the gateway to the ruins of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th–15th centuries. Before you go:
– mosquito repellent could get handy
– check the weather forecast, it is a good idea to keep a rain jacket with you on this trip
– it is hot! but remember there are some places that require shirts, and long pants
– The currency is Cambodian Rials, get some change from the airport. However, USDs are accepted everywhere
– Visa is upon arrival
– Best season to go is from November to March

Things to do in Siem Reap Cambodia:
The most important thing and the whole reason why I considered Cambodia to begin with: Angkor Wat Temple & Angkor Wat City. We did a sunrise at the Angkor war and continued exploring early in the morning. If you’re not a big fan of sunrises and sunsets, then don’t go early in the morning! (departure time 4:30 AM)
